Privacy policy
ApostilleCheck is published by Billy Reiner Inc.. The short version: we collect almost nothing, set no tracking cookies, run no ads, and never sell data.
The short version
- No account, no login, no email gate to use the site or its tools.
- No advertising networks and no third-party tracking or retargeting pixels.
- Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics only — aggregate counts, not profiles.
- We never sell, rent, or share your personal information.
Analytics
We measure traffic with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool we self-host. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. It records aggregate, non-identifying data such as page views, referring site, rough region, and device type, so we can see which guides are useful and which pages need work. It does not build a profile of you or follow you across other sites.
The tools
The Pathway Checker, Fee Lookup, and Country Checker run entirely in your browser. The choices you make in them — your state, document, or destination country — are used only to show your result and are not sent to us or stored on a server.
When you email us
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you write, handled through our email provider. We use it only to reply and, where you report a correction, to verify and fix the fact. We do not add you to any marketing list.
Cookies
We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may store standard technical items needed to load the page; we do not use them to identify you.
Links to other sites
We link heavily to official government and HCCH pages so you can verify every fact. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. This policy covers only ApostilleCheck.
Children
ApostilleCheck is a general-audience reference and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your requests
Because we do not build user profiles, there is little personal data to access or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, ask at[email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date below and the change is reflected here. Material changes will be described plainly rather than buried.
Effective and last updated: July 21, 2026.
